How do I find my blush color?
Have you ever wondered about this too? And when should I use blush as a powder, cream, or stick? With our blush guide, we offer you a little help in choosing your blush.
The most important thing first: the skin undertone
Your skin undertone is crucial for choosing the right blush color. You look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in daylight.
With a cool undertone, these veins tend to have a bluish shimmer. Veins with a greenish tint indicate a warm skin type. If your veins neither shimmer bluish nor greenish, you most likely have a neutral skin type.
Which blush color suits me?
Basically: Make-up knows no rules! The most important thing is to have fun experimenting and to express yourself creatively. After all, the main thing is that you feel comfortable with your look. But if you do need a little guidance when choosing products, our shopping guide will certainly help you.

Powder, cream, stick – which blush suits me?
But when buying the right blush, it’s not just about the color. The right consistency is also important. It should harmonize with your skin type. Whether as a powder, cream, or stick – here we give you an overview of the different textures.
The classic: powder blush
The classic powder blush is still the most widespread. Especially for oily and impure skin, this blush is the better choice because it mattifies the skin and avoids additional glow.
In addition, powder blush can be very well combined with highlighters and bronzers in powder form, as the transitions are easier to blend. Powder blushes are also suitable for makeup beginners because they are easy to handle and blend.
Good to know: The more powder blush you use, the better you should blend it with a brush – otherwise, harsh transitions and unsightly edges may occur.
Soft & caring: cream blush
For dry or mature skin, cream and liquid blushes are ideal because they provide the skin with extra moisture and care and do not dry it out. The delicate shimmer particles do not settle as easily into dry fine lines thanks to the creamy texture, creating a silky complexion.
You can now find cream blush in many forms: in a jar, in a tube, as a so-called cushion blush (with an integrated sponge), or in stick form. We’ll tell you more about that shortly.
Blush Stick – Small stick, big impact
You have probably seen the small lipstick-like sticks before – blush sticks are practical makeup multitools for on the go. Thanks to their compact shape, a blush stick is easy to carry, takes up little space in your beauty case, and is simple to use. The creamy texture applies quickly and easily and can be gently blended either with the stick itself or with (clean!) fingers.
Our tip: You can build up the color intensity as much as you like by applying the product multiple times. By the way: The blush stick can also be cleverly "repurposed" as a lipstick or creamy eyeshadow.

Your most frequently asked questions about blush
Which blush color for which skin type?
The following beauty tip helps answer this question: The darker the skin tone, the stronger the blush can be. There is also a simple answer to the question of which blush is suitable for fair skin: A delicate, lighter blush is perfect for lighter skin types.
Which blush color suits brunettes/darker hair? And which blush color suits blondes/lighter hair?
The hair color is not decisive for choosing the right blush color. Instead, you should select your color based on your skin undertone.
Is powder blush or liquid blush better?
That’s not so easy to answer and depends on your skin type and styling preference. Liquid blush has a clear advantage over powder blush: it is also very suitable for dry skin. The creamy or even liquid texture is often enriched with nourishing ingredients and does not settle as easily on dry spots. Powdery textures, on the other hand, are more suitable for oily or shiny skin.
How do you apply powder blush?
A soft brush is ideal for powder textures to apply and blend the powder evenly on the face. It should not be too large so that the product can be applied precisely to the areas of the face you want to highlight. A brush that is too small should also be avoided, as it can make blending difficult and lead to patchy and unnatural results. Powder blush can be applied directly to the skin or over makeup.
How to: Pick up some powder with a brush, apply it directly to the cheekbones, and blend towards the temples.
Our tip: A little blush on the nose and chin can add even more freshness.
How do you apply cream blush?
There are different ways to apply a cream blush or a blush stick. It is especially easy to dab the product directly onto the skin with clean fingers and blend it out.
Did you know? The body heat helps a cream blush to wonderfully merge with the skin and achieve a natural result.
If you prefer not to apply your blush with your fingers and wonder which brush is suitable for cream blush, special large blush brushes are ideal for cream or liquid blushes. They allow you to apply your blush evenly and blend it seamlessly. Alternatively, you can also use a clean sponge.
